Matt@dblcrs.ca

Matt, a native of Peterborough, Ontario, developed a passion for golf at the tender age of two. His father and grandfather mentored him to grip the club and swing with force into neighbouring backyards. He has since travelled North America, participating in numerous amateur and professional tournaments. At 25, Matt realized his passion for golf had shifted, and he was more interested in helping golfers achieve their objectives. Consequently, he pursued a career with the PGA of Canada.

Matt started teaching in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2010, where he found himself drawn to learning more about golf biomechanics. He later moved to the Credit Valley Golf & Country Club in Mississauga, where he honed his skills to take on a full-time role as a teaching professional. During his eight-year tenure at The Club atNorth Halton, he grew his client base to over 500 students and successfully managed all teaching programs inclusive of junior programs, ranging from camps to competitive teams. Seeking further growth opportunities, Matt transitioned to the management side of golf, taking up his most recent position at Westmount Golf and Country Club. Rediscovering his passion for teaching, Matt decided to become "This Guy" for DBL CRS Sim Lounge. This move allowed him to focus more on helping people improve their golf games.

Having learned from experienced professionals in the industry, Matt has become most interested in biomechanics and understanding each student's capabilities. He formulates plans based on their body's abilities, limitations, and goals to facilitate their success in golf.
